Bad artist? No problem! I'm making a Shoot 'em Up with just polygons

My second Godot game is in the making! Try the demo now!

I'm currently working on my second Godot game, called Cisquangle. It's a fast-paced horizontal Shoot'em Up that gives you the ability to instantly change your characters appearance and shooting mechanics. The square shape gives you a single gun with a high fire rate. The triangle shape shoots projectiles from all its corners. And the circle shape works similar to a shotgun with a decent amount of projectile spread but a rather slow fire rate. You can shape-shift whenever you like to adapt to the enemies' speed and positioning.

Gameplay looks like this:

The game is currently in development and will take a few more weeks to complete. The demo version can be played right now and includes the first stage of the game as well as the first boss and two intro/outro mission briefings. My plan is to add two more stages and bosses and at least two more enemy types.

As I mentioned before, Cisquangle is my second Godot game (A 2D platformer called Lost Companion being the first). I'm getting more and more comfortable with the engine, its different node types and GDScript and I learned  a whole lot while working on Cisquangle. My approach is to keep the games' scope quite small while creating an experience that is as polished as possible. Since the game is still in the making, certain aspects of the game are subject to change. As always, feedback is much appreciated. Let me know what you think in the comments!
